King Yin-Yang of Human Xanth is a man from the West Stockade in Xanth. His talent is creating invokable spells. He was first introduced in Crewel Lye: A Caustic Yarn.
Yin-Yang was delivered in 657. He was the widower of Threnody, husband of an unnamed woman, and father of Bliss. He was assassinated by Muerte A. Fid in 719. He was 62 years old.
Yin-Yang was the eleventh King of Human Xanth. He had a split personality with Yin, Magician of Light and good, and Yang, Magician of Darkness and evil. Yang became King of Xanth by winning a competition for the throne set by Gromden to determine which side of him would rule. He, along with his son and Warren, was assassinated by Muerte A. Fid.
Novels: Crewel Lye: A Caustic Yarn, Question Quest
Human men and women will not have a species in their entries. Also, if the surname of the character is the character's species, it was dropped.
If the character is a child, it will be in the description. The child will more than likely be an adult by this time in the Xanth series.
Many species are single gender, so their entries will not mention it. The species are Fury, Muse, basilisk, cenmaid, cenmare, cockatrice, dryad, maenad, sand witch, sandman, and woodwife. Harpies and nymphs are usually female, and fauns are usually male; but there have been a few exceptions that are noted.
In some instances, I have made educated guesses on gender, species, and some birth years.
