Magician Ordinate
Magician Ordinate is a man from Xanth. His talent is traveling along the male Y coordinate. He was introduced in Roc and a Hard Place.
Ordinate was delivered in 1090. He is the son of Ivy and Grey; twin brother of Abscissa; and brother of Melody, Harmony, Rhythm, Green, Dol, Gerrod, Grant, Ilene, Isabella Emily Carylyn, and Revy. He is 28 years old.
Ordinate was delivered to an orphanage since his parents took too long to marry.

If the character is a child, it will be in the description. The child will more than likely be an adult by this time in the Xanth series.
