Princess Melody

Princess Melody of Human Xanth is a woman from Castle Roogna in Xanth. Her talent is singing or playing something real. She was first mentioned in Yon Ill Wind.

Melody was delivered in 1096. She is the daughter of Ivy and Grey; triplet sister of Harmony and Rhythm; sister of Abscissa, Ordinate, Green, Dol, Gerrod, Grant, Ilene, Isabella Emily Carylyn, and Revy; girlfriend of Anomy; and mother of Aria and Melanoma. She is 22 years old.

Melody has green hair and blue eyes and wears a green dress. She, along with her sisters Harmony and Rhythm, switched with her adult self and created Castle Maidragon to contain the Dastard. She chose to be the one to fight him. She was briefly possessed by the Sea Hag. She has traveled to Phaze with Cube. She became the girlfriend of Anomy sometime after he switched with his child self on Ptero.

She and her triplet sisters also created Fibot.

She will be deleted by Ragna Roc in 1128 then undeleted when Ragna was defeated.

A Bold Title means she was a major character. A Small Title means she was only mentioned.

Character notes

Notes

Human men and women will not have a species in their entries. Also, if the surname of the character is the character's species, it was dropped.

If the character is a child, it will be in the description. The child will more than likely be an adult by this time in the Xanth series.

Many species are single gender, so their entries will not mention it. The species are Fury, Muse, basilisk, cenmaid, cenmare, cockatrice, dryad, maenad, sand witch, sandman, and woodwife. Harpies and nymphs are usually female, and fauns are usually male; but there have been a few exceptions that are noted.

In some instances, I have made educated guesses on gender, species, and some birth years.
