MareAnn
MareAnn is a woman from the Gap Village then the Good Magicianʼs Castle in Xanth. Her talent is summoning and controlling equines. She was first introduced in Question Quest.
MareAnn was delivered in 933. She is wife of Humfrey; mother of an unnamed child; and related to HellAnn, SpartAnn, and TrojAnn. She was 184 years old in 1117 but she takes youth elixir to maintain the age of 15. She is 16 years old.
MareAnn is the first love of Humfrey. Her talent extends to horses, pegasi, and unicorns. She is particularly attached to the last. She maintains the age of 15 after her marriage to Humfrey. Her unnamed child is on the Red Face of Pyramid.

If the character is a child, it will be in the description. The child will more than likely be an adult by this time in the Xanth series.
Many species are single gender, so their entries will not mention it. The species are Fury, Muse, basilisk, cenmaid, cenmare, cockatrice, dryad, maenad, sand witch, sandman, and woodwife. Harpies and nymphs are usually female, and fauns are usually male; but there have been a few exceptions that are noted.
