King Ivy

King Ivy of Human Xanth is a woman from Castle Roogna in Xanth. Her talent is enhancement, causing the qualities she perceives to intensify. She was first introduced in Dragon on a Pedestal as a major character.

Ivy was delivered in 1069. She is the daughter of Irene and Dor; twin sister of Ida; sister of Dolph and Io; wife of Grey and Naldo; and mother of Abscissa, Ordinate, Harmony, Melody, Rhythm, Green, Dol, Gerrod, Grant, Ilene, Isabella Emily Carylyn, and Revy. She is 49 years old.

Ivy is the twenty-first King of Human Xanth and third female King. She is unique in having befriended Stanley Steamer, the Gap Dragon. Snortimer then Grabraham were her monsters under the bed when she was a child. She is the the third reigning female King of Xanth. In an alternate reality, she is married to Naldo. In another alternate reality, her name is Io.

She will be deleted by Ragna Roc in 1128 then undeleted when Ragna was defeated.

Character notes

Human men and women will not have a species in their entries. Also, if the surname of the character is the character's species, it was dropped.

If the character is a child, it will be in the description. The child will more than likely be an adult by this time in the Xanth series.

Many species are single gender, so their entries will not mention it. The species are Fury, Muse, basilisk, cenmaid, cenmare, cockatrice, dryad, maenad, sand witch, sandman, and woodwife. Harpies and nymphs are usually female, and fauns are usually male; but there have been a few exceptions that are noted.

In some instances, I have made educated guesses on gender, species, and some birth years.
