Magician Grey

Magician Grey is a man from Mundania then Xanth. His talent is nullifying magic. He was first introduced in Man from Mundania as a major character.

Grey was born in 1068. He is the son of Vadne and Murphy; husband of Ivy; and father of Abscissa, Ordinate, Harmony, Melody, Rhythm, Green, Dol, Gerrod, Grant, Ilene, Isabella Emily Carylyn, and Revy. He is 50 years old.

Grey was conceived in Xanth but delivered in Mundania. He was living a dreary life in Mundania until he received Sending. It sent him Agenda Andrews, Anorexia Nervosa, Dyslexia, Euphoria, and Salmonella before sending Ivy, who brought him into Xanth. After he came into Xanth, he learned that his parents made a deal with Com Pewter that would make him its servant. He served as the Good Magician from 1086 to 1090, which superseded his service to Com Pewter. Lacuna freed him from service to Com Pewter. He is wise and excellent at solving problems.

Novels: Man from Mundania, Isle of View, Question Quest, The Color of Her Panties, Demons Don't Dream, Roc and a Hard Place, Yon Ill Wind, Faun and Games, Xone of Contention, The Dastard, Up in a Heaval, Pet Peeve, Knot Gneiss, Luck of the Draw, Board Stiff

A Bold Title means he was a major character. A Small Title means he was only mentioned.

Character notes

Notes

Human men and women will not have a species in their entries. Also, if the surname of the character is the character's species, it was dropped.

If the character is a child, it will be in the description. The child will more than likely be an adult by this time in the Xanth series.

Many species are single gender, so their entries will not mention it. The species are Fury, Muse, basilisk, cenmaid, cenmare, cockatrice, dryad, maenad, sand witch, sandman, and woodwife. Harpies and nymphs are usually female, and fauns are usually male; but there have been a few exceptions that are noted.

In some instances, I have made educated guesses on gender, species, and some birth years.
